The Book of Love Limited Edition

A limited edition of Kelly’s first novel, The Book of Love, to be published later this year by Small Beer Press, courtesy of Random House who published the novel in hardcover, audiobook, and ebook on February 13, 2024.

The Book of Love is a huge beautiful novel about love in its many forms. The Random House edition is 640 pages and 2.1 pounds in weight.

Our limited edition will be the most expensive book we have produced. It will be sold in three states each signed by the author with the latter two states including a favorite line (either selected by the reader or the author) written out by the author.

There will be 500 hand numbered copies, 26 hand lettered copies, and 12 character copies. There will be a small number of personal copies printed in case of mailing or manufacturing mishaps but otherwise these backup copies will not be for sale and the edition will comprise these 538 copies.

The character and lettered editions will be published in four volumes, each 6.5″ x 9.25″. Each volume will be bound in 80# Antique paper— in different colors — with foil titles on the spines and a full color illustration by Kelly Louise Judd laid on the front.

The four volumes contain three unique and exclusive illustrations by Wesley Allsbrook plus a bonus illustration in the first volume for a total of thirteen throughout the novel. The books will be printed by the Maple Press of York, PA, on 70# Finch Vanilla paper, with 80# endpapers, Smyth Sewn in foil stamped Linen Cloth.

We are not taking reservations as we are still pricing this out. As above, we are planning on making these the most beautiful and most expensive books that we can. We expect the prices to be in the range of $200, $500, and $1000.
