The Book of Love Limited Edition

A limited edition of Kelly’s first novel, The Book of Love, published this year by Small Beer Press, courtesy of Random House who published the novel in hardcover, audiobook, and ebook on February 13, 2024.

The Book of Love is a huge beautiful novel about love in its many forms. The Random House edition is 640 pages and 2.1 pounds in weight.

This edition is 688 pages is offered in three states, each four volumes each measuring 6.5″ x 9.25″ with the following page counts: 192 pages, 176 pages, 160 pages, and 160 pages.

A small number of personal copies were printed in case of mailing or manufacturing mishaps and for the author and illustrators but otherwise these will not be for sale and the edition will comprise these 539 copies.

Each volume contains three unique and exclusive hand-tipped illustrations on 70# coated stock by Wesley Allsbrook plus a bonus illustration in the first volume for a total of thirteen throughout the novel.

Each volume is Smyth Sewn and casebound in 80# Antique paper — Cerulean, Amethyst, Shamrock, Turquoise, respectively — with a gold foil title across the four spines and four different color versions of the cover illustration by Kelly Louise Judd printed and inlaid on blind stamping on the front.

The books were printed by the Maple Press of York, PA, on 70# Finch Vanilla paper, with 80# endpapers printed with a design by Wesley Allsbrook.

We are not taking reservations as we are still pricing this out. As above, we made these the most beautiful and most expensive books that we can (so far!). We expect the prices to be in the range of $300, $750, and $1,500.
