Sean, Kestrell: we decided to experiment with price elasticity after all and price it at $4.95(!). There's a lot of discussion and anecdotal results on price and ebook sales but it is a bit hard for us to experiment with our author's books, easier with something we've made. It's not a great fit, data-wise, as this is a nonfiction reference/calendar thing but at least it's something.

We've done something similar with the LCRW ebook, making it $4. If we get something like an auto-emailer set up so that we're not emailing them out ourselves we may even drop that price further.

I always feel I'm getting a break when the ebook is less expensive than the paper copy, and I always grumble when prices end with odd cents, so I would suggest somewhere between $10 and $12.
Is this the same flavor of DRM-free PDF you usually produce? Will it be available on Fictionwise?

Half would be cool. If you wanted to get it out to as many ppl as possible, the obvious is choice is free. But probably that's not what you meant, so how about a "pay what you like" a la Cat Valente? Or a "please donate" a la Duotrope?

Just a suggestion. Best of luck!

1/2 price might be good. We're thinking of trying to get it out to as many people as possible.

I usually see ebooks priced at a little over half of their paperback counterparts. Bear in mind, that's half of the list price and not the discounted prices from many booksellers.
