Gavin, glad to hear you could stay at the Springfield house. I thought the Brookline one was for cancer only, but thought it may have changed since I worked there, as I couldn't find the criteria on the main site. So glad you found a place to stay! The Child Life Staff are great at Childrens- Wheelock's CL students often intern there as well, all wonderful and caring folk!

Kerrie, we were lucky enough to stay in the Ronald McDonald House in Springfield for a while. The one in Boston is for families with kids with cancer.

But the good news is that we have found a place in Brighton which fits all our needs and friends have already helped us move in!

Thanks Jennifer. I think the lead and the distance put it out of contention. We may have found a place in Brighton but of course we have to look for more.

My husband is renting out a first-floor apartment in Dorchester. It's not deleaded, though. Let me know if you want to know more.
