Dropped by 1971 Mass. Ave the other day and it is somewhat similar to the old Bookcellar, although sadly there’s no tea, scones, or chili. Part of the back room is now storage, shame as it made a comfy lounge/good spot for readings. McIntyre & Moore still have excellent, deep nonfiction sections.

Carrie: it is exciting! When Vince is on the Today show we will be the ones outside the window waving in.

1971 Mass Ave is what the bookmark says. I’m glad to hear it’s still full of books (and that Mc&M has a home). Sadly, I can’t recall if I ever had the chili.

Wow. I will have to stop in and see what McIntyre & Moore have done with the ol’ place. I had completely forgotten about the chile(!), but I sure remember that cappuccino machine.

I am so very much looking forward to Vince’s book.

Hey Heather, I still have to go see how it looks, but McIntyre & Moore have moved from Davis Sq in Somerville into the old Bookcellar Cafe Space (I think at 1971 Mass Ave, or that’s some other random synapse firing). What I miss about the Bookcellar: the space, the books, the chili!

I just looked over at the mess on my desk and spotted an “Official Authorized Bookmark” from AVHB lying next to the keyboard…

although upon turning it over to see the bookcellar cafe info on the other side, I suspect that’s where I actually picked it up.
